A Lookbook Shoot by Kars Cabalda x Jorx Balitbit

It was last week when my buddy called and thought of having a shoot, until days passed by and we never really sat and talked about it. Until he confirmed to me a schedule the day before.

Since no details were discussed, not even the concept! All I know was I am an awesome friend, and I’ll definitely show up no matter how chaotic my work situation at present. — Yes Kars, you owe me. So you better buy me as much Tim Tams and Pods as you can at Melbourne! :p

I only got the easiest I can snatch from my closet morning before, without thinking if everything will mash together.

And while on location, I came in as I am all haggard from office, made adjustments here and there, thus surprisingly lands me on my first look.

[kimono blazer from Promod; top from Cotton On; jeans from Levi’s and shoes from Zara]

Hype this look on lookbook here.

Everyone owns their oldest pair of jeans, and I am proud to say I can still wear my 7 year old pair. Wow. Haha!

This has always been my savior whenever I’m in doubt my top and shoes will never match, or should I say it is ‘my most trusted’ pants. From its fit, unquestioned quality, comfort, and my favorite “transition effect” from wearing a formal top to whatever footwear.

As for my chosen prints for my top; I never see anything wrong combining floral prints, for as long as colors match or belongs to the same shade. Notice how different the kimono from my top? Yet it clicks pairing them together. I like calling print on print styling a “controlled chaos”. Yeah?

These are BTS shots happened last February 2011, when I was called by my love Sam to model for ForME. See my previous post way back here.

Raiding the whole store to mix and match.

Fitting. Pardon the makeup less face. :)) This was my chosen outfit to take-home!

Fact: I am the girl who’ll never dare to touch her brows.

While being made up!

Cleopatra hair! :)) I dunno but I like it. The hairstylist combed her fingers through to loosen it, I still like the end result, so it does not matter. :))

That is Liz Buenaventura, our stylist. I admire her resourcefulness and awesome creativity! :D

Do check out this fashionista’s blog here

And so the camera rolls.

Me doing the 2 thumbs up pose with closed eyes, expressing my contentment on how my figure was able to match clothes from ForMe and how Liz styled me overall.

This was shown on ETC, but I wasn’t able to watch it. /fail :)) But that’s a good thing, I wasn’t able to feel awkward seeing myself on tv! Yay!

An obligatory shot of me, Liz and Barbie.

Thank you Sammie for taking these photos! :*

A shot done by my long-time friend Joyce. While resting during a photoshoot; and that’s how a photographer takes a break - being taken back. :D From a shoot done two months ago. So last year! :)) ● Post-processed by: Yours Truly
