It has been a soaring, tumbling, free-wheeling production for the Asian Premier of Disney’s Aladdin. Congrats to all! Cheers to a magic carpet ride in capping 2012 Season. Until the next high adventure! :D
Taken one Arabian arvo, and right smack at the center in glasses is our dad in Meralco Theater, Mr. Ed C. ー A special thanks to you. :)

When I first saw the scale model for NINE’s set design, I had doubts that everyone will be cramped on stage.
I was blown away when it materialized!!
Presenting a magnificent set design by a Tony Award winner, David Gallo. Can I be more fortunate to meet and work with 3 Tony Award winners this year alone? And I am all giddy that they know me back!! *u* What an honour!!!
NINE is not as serious as you think. Watch it so you’ll know what I mean ;)
For more information visit http://www.atlantisproductionsinc.comPS: That is Jett Pangan as Guido on stage. One of the most brilliant Filipino actors/singers I met, ever!
MiG Ayesa has officially touched down Manila at exactly 10:15pm at NAIA Terminal 1; for Atlantis Productions’ Rock of Ages Manila!
Finally the cast is complete and all set to rock! \m/
Show will be opening on June 15 - July 8, 2012 at RCBC Plaza, Makati. For tickets, call Atlantis Productions at 892 7078 / 840 1187, or visit http://www.atlantisproductionsinc.com
PS: I was able to ask him what Filipino words he still knows, he answered the usuals mabuhay, mahal kita… and then “kachichas”. I was dumbfounded! Another kengkoy guy I met! :))))
Last Sunday’s Full Circle segment were meant for Star Magic talents who have also ventured the industry of theatre.
And most of these artists have performed and part of the growing family of Atlantis Productions; who has been bringing and keeping Broadway musicals/plays alive in the Philippines for the past 12 years, and still counting strong.
Rock of Ages, to open at June 15, 2012. With the cast Nyoy Volante and Vina Morales, to be joined by Rock Star INXS’, MiG Ayesa. [see this post]
Disney’s Aladdin, to be premiered in Asia before it even hits Broadway! To be starred by In the Heights’s Nina, K-La Rivera and his debut in musical theatre, PBB’s Tom Rodriguez.
As seen from Next to Normal as Henry. And my personal favorite musical, was represented by Markki Stroem.
PS: That is Markki’s painful / kawawa face. :(
He sang Light in the Dark, which was originally sung on-stage by Jett Pangan.
PPS: The song suits your voice perfectly! /being a fan and a friend :D
Guji Lorenzana, for Legally Blonde.
And Peter Pan, brought Repertory Philippines.
Staged last October 2011, with Sam Concepcion and Tippy dos Santos.
After prod number and ASAP Chill-out photos.
Children’s favorite fairytale characters in real life!!! *u*
They surely all expressed that they miss theatre and looking forward to be part of the future shows!
It’s been fun! From someone who’s also done theatre and be with them.. the humor, passion, and talent from each other overflows and just ticks like a clock! :)
Special thanks to: Star Magic, ASAP 2012 and ABSCBN

No other way to have a perfect despedida but in an old Spanish house at Intramuros, called Ilustrado.
Result of being an early bird, or so called organizer :))
Go spot Mr. Miranda, K-La Rivera, Michael de Mesa, Tex Ordonez and Nyoy Volante.
Daughter-mom duet of “Ugoy” from Ms. Jackie Lou Blanco and Ms. Pilita Corales with Nyoy Volante. This made me miss my mom ♡
The In the Heights Manila cast with the original Usnavi, performing In the Heights acoustic version with the accompaniment of the UsnaPinoy, Nyoy. :)
Ms. Lea Salonga capturing a surreal moment.
The good times continues = a lot more happened ;D
Jorx: How come I never had a photo with you?
Lin-Manuel: That’s ok, let’s have one.
Lin-Manuel: The camera chopped my head off! Let’s do that again!
My thought bubble: I have a photo with Lin-Manuel!! :))
Salamat Lin-Manuel. The past week was just surreal to all of us. And last night was truly EPIC!
You’ll be flying 30 mins. from now back to NY, Manila already misses you! Until next time dude, pare! WEPA!
A big thanks from the cast, crew, even Lin-Manuel for making In the Heights Manila’s Opening Night successful and epic! THANK YOU.
See you on our remaining shows every Fridays to Sundays from March 17 - 25, 2012, at the CPR, RCBC Plaza. For more info, you may call Atlantis Productions at 892 7078.
Lin-Manuel beside Bobby, sharing his notes during the company call with the cast and music-in-charge of In the Heights Manila.
It’s always amusing to come in to a realization that anything that’s good can always be better. Thank you Lin-Manuel for being an inspiration to all of us! ♡
PS: Lin-Manuel’s “hands-on” personality just makes him 1000++ times cooler :D
[l-r: Chari Arespacochaga, Executive-in-Charge of Productions / Director; Manman Angsico, Vocal Coach; Lin-Manuel Miranda, maker of In the Heights; Ceejay Javier, Musical Director; Bobby Garcia, Producer / Director]
Few of the best people I know and glad to be working with, from the industry I first and always love. Such an honor to have taken this photo.
Oh, and this was just right after Ms. Lea Salonga left. So… I was in a room with two Tony Award-winners that night! @-))
Lin-Manuel Miranda has landed in Manila!!! He is the creator of the Tony Award-winning musical In the Heights, which lands him to be a Tony Award-winner and a Grammy-winner. He flew from New York to witness the rave of his masterpiece here in Manila.
It was indeed an honor to personally meet him. To be able to talk to him in a short while and know enough about how he’s passionate on his craft, how talented he is and how he considers Philippines close to him.
He surprisingly knows how to say “mahal kita" and sorts, and how he’s so amused repeating a certain tagalog word to emphasize its degree (i.e. mahal na mahal na mahal kita which means I love you so much). To compare about his hometown and find similarities as well into ours. And talk about the twists our fast food chains to “Filipinize” it. Oh, he would love to try balot and peach mango pie from Jollibee too! Send him one on the show? ;))
Not everyone gets the chance I had. And earlier today, I was able to be part of his day not as someone he can share his personal life with, but as professionals. With cameras or without, he’s genuinely kind and surprisingly comfortable to be around with. Conversations with him wont be awkward. I am very lucky for this experience.
[Here’s a sneak peak from earlier today’s press conference for In the Heights Manila. And there he is beside Bobby Garcia (director of In the Heights Manila), comfortably answering beyond questions given to him.]
Catch the second run of In the Heights! For tickets call Atlantis Productions at 892 7078 :)
From last season’s successful run, Atlantis Productions brings you again Mr. Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award winning piece…

Catch all the characters, songs and dances we all love as they all return and join us to another round of carnaval del barrio!
Nyoy Volante is rapping back on stage as Usnavi.
K-La Rivera returns as Nina, the perfect college girl.
Disney’s Aladdin is OPEN FOR AUDITIONS!
And so Atlantis Productions Inc. just keeps on surprising us!
Instead of having Shrek The Musical for this year’s season ender, Atlantis will be staging Disney’s Aladdin.
This was made possible with a special licensing agreement with Disney Theatricals and Music Theatre International.
I’m looking forward as you all take part of this magic carpet ride as we go to a whole new world!!! See you there!
The team behind the success of Disney’s The Little Mermaid in Manila.
We definitely all broke our fins! CONGRATULATIONS to us!
And THANK YOU to Almighty and to everyone who supported us in any form. Your smiles and warm gestures are enough to suffice our efforts and sacrifices, and to keep doing better. Thank you. ♡
We hope to work, entertain and see you again on our next season! Happy Holidays everyone! ☃
PS: Thank you Sir Raymund Isaac for taking this shot :)
